Guidance notes
Here are some written instructions on how to change your password to log into the website or CMS.
You may need to do this if you are having trouble logging in, or have forgotten your password.
You can expand the screenshots by clicking on them. Tips are given in italics.
These notes assume you are already logged into the CMS.
Trouble logging in
If your login details aren't working, consider checking:
- If any characters in your username or password are case sensitive.
- If caps lock is enabled on your keyboard by mistake.
- That you have entered the correct email address or password - for example, most usernames will have a . between the first name and surname.
If you have tried all of the above and the email address or user name is correct, you may need to change your password.
If you have a succession of invalid login attempts, your IP address will temporarily banned from logging in. In most cases, this will remove itself after 15 minutes and you can try again.
Changing a password
- On the login page, click on 'Forgot Password'.
- Enter the email address tied to your account and click the 'Reset' button.
- You should receive an email with a link to reset your password. Clicking that link will prompt you to enter your new password twice, and if done correctly, it will update and you will be able to login with that password.
- Warning: This link will only work for a limited time before it expires, at which point you would need to request a new one.
- If you don't receive the email at first, check the junk, spam or trash folders in your inbox prior to contacting supported@frankdesignltd.co.uk
