Background

Frank were asked to tender for the design and build of the West Yorkshire & Harrogate Health and Care Partnership website and were appointed to deliver a standalone site that would form the digital hub for the partnership's communication and engagement.

Main objectives were to provide an intuitive, dynamic, mobile-friendly portal that would have the capacity to support multiple micro-sites, serving one of the largest health and care partnerships in England.

Scoping

Using an iterative approach to phased development based on intensive stakeholder engagement and extensive accessibility, Frank collated user feedback in conjunction with the communications team and provided a site utilising easy-to-use search filters, delivering information quickly and directly across all devices.

The site has the capacity to support multiple microsites with separate domain names, all running off the one platform. This has enabled workstreams such as the Cancer Alliance and Workforce Transformation to have editorial autonomy over their own microsites whilst providing one central go-to portal for all public and professional information - branded as the Partnership.

Project

The main website was delivered for the communications teams, with a series of programme-specific micro-sites delivered as phase 2 development, enabling the site to mature as the scale and reach of the partnership increased.

A powerful suite of user engagement modules enable the communications team to collate and act upon user preferences, which provides an element of future-proofing and can adapt with changing audience requirements over the lifecycle of the site.
