Background

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust provides the majority of adult and children's community health services in the London boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames. It aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the populations of Hounslow and Richmond through the provision of high quality community health services and transform services, wherever possible providing these in the community closer to people’s homes.

The Trust serves a population of over 500,000.

The Trust invited Frank to tender for their digital services, including a new public facing website with staff extranet. There were a number of business challenges that the Trust were not meeting with their existing digital platform and had recently conducted the analysis of main providers serving the NHS.

The Project

Frank worked closely with the Trust across multiple scoping and engagement sessions to provide a solution based on the overwhelming choice of end users to design the user interface based around an intelligent search function. We used active directory on the staff extranet, which allowed communication with the NHSmail controlled Azure tenancy.

The authentication application was registered with the NHSmail helpdesk, so that this transaction could be completed securely. This meant that HRCH staff could use their email address and passwords to gain entry to the CMS, a simple and intuitive solution that staff across the Trust found easy to use.
