In response to a handful of our clients receiving GDS Digital Cabinet Office reports regarding WGAG compliance (currently 2.2 AA) on their websites we have put together a short video explaining what the reports are, what they mean and what to do if you receive one.

If you receive a report and it cites issues found, please send a copy to Frank Support.  It may be that your site is not on the latest version of WCAG, or that the site was build some time ago.  The WCAG 2.1 + 2.2 guidelines are subjective, and the Digital Cabinet Office have never published a prescriptive testing schedule or way of coding, so there has been no hard and fast rules about how they are tested or interpreted. Our methodology was created by us and our detailed research around the application of the guidelines.

These audits have since shown us a lot more about how tests are undertaken, and exactly what constitutes a “pass” or “fail” (even if it isn't always a real world experience due to automated testing).  Rest assured, we know how to fix them and get can them addressed for you.  Its important that you send us the report as soon as you receive it, so we can schedule any required fixes before they retest.
